Sacem CEO and FACF President

Cécile Rap-Veber , former lawyer at the Paris Court of Appeal, is currently Managing Director of the the Sacem, a position she has held since October 2021.  Since January 2019, she has been Director of Development, International and Operations, and a member of the Executive Committee.  She has played a major role since 2013, the year of her arrival, in the digital transformation of the the Sacem and its internationalization.  She initiated and oversaw the rollout of the world’s first platform for processing online exploitation of works, URights.  She has contributed to the Sacem’s new developments by piloting global partnerships with major platforms, internationally recognized media and music publishers.  She is also in charge, with David El Sayegh, of the project to create a new organization for the collective management of press rights.

At a time when the health crisis has profoundly weakened the creative world and accelerated changes in the sector with the explosion of streaming and new content, Ms. Rap-Veber’s background and expertise are an essential asset for the beginning of a new strategic phase for the Sacem.
