François Besson began his professional career at Diapason as an editorial secretary before joining Universal Music. He then worked for CBS, France Inter – where he created the Promotion & Partnerships department – Sony Music, The Walt Disney Company and then, in the operational marketing sector, for brands such as McDonald’s, Kellogg’s, Nestlé and Atlas Editions. He founded a marketing agency specialized in classical music for clients such as the Théâtre du Châtelet, Mezzo, the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Warner Classics and Pierre Bergé. He has been Director of Cultural Action at Sacem between 2013 and 2023 before becoming Director of the Fund.
