Jay Roth

Former National Executive Director of DGA & FACF Funding Member

Jay D. Roth is an American attorney widely known as the former National Executive Director of the Directors Guild of America (DGA). Today, he is one of the most specialized lawyers in labor and entertainment law. Highly invested and influential, in February 2017 he received the DGA Presidents’ Award for his leadership and extraordinary efforts to improve the well-being and image of the Guild and the industry, and in 2008 the DGA awarded him Honorary Life Membership. He is currently Chairman of the DGA Producers’ Pension and Health Plan Board of Directors. Jay Roth is a founding member of the Franco-American Cultural Fund created in 1995. In recognition of his work to help create and promote cultural exchanges, French President Sarkozy named him a recipient of the French Légion d’honneur in 2009.
